Measure T Has Passed!

With 59 of 59 precincts counted, Measure T passed 12,646 to 12,026 or Yes 51.26% No 48.74%.

This was a very tough fight, and a lot of volunteers put time, money, and their hearts into the fight to pass Measure T. We won. We did it.

We often hear our city described as "gritty" or "tough" or even worse. Those of us who love Richmond know that it is a wonderfully diverse community where people often know their neighbors. A melting pot of hardworking folks who are proud and self-reliant.

Some of us have very big dreams for Richmond. Some of us even dare to dream that this city and others like it will transform into a model of urban living.

This measure makes Chevron pay a fair share on the pollution and corruption it has heaped on this community for more than a century. It also sends Chevron a message that many of the residents want a change for the better and are willing to fight very hard to make that change happen. Are you listening Chevron?
